Emmanuelle Bonnet is a musician, singer, and composer from Geneva. Her musical practice explores various fields of experimentation, ranging from jazz and free improvisation to madrigal singing and other forms of physical expression.

Interested in sounds and voices, gestures, and even speech, her performances most often take place within various collective formations. She has performed in various concert halls and festivals in Europe, such as Bird's Eye (Basel), AMR Jazz Festival (Geneva), Porta-Jazz Festival (Porto), Jazz in Bess (Lugano), and Moods (Zurich).

In recent years, she has mainly composed for her group Emmanuelle Bonnet Quartet, with whom she tours regularly. Her first album, « Préludzet Menuet », was released in 2024 on Unit Records, and her latest, « Prérie(s) », in 2026 on her independent label Mousse Records.

With an urgency to create, Emmanuelle often blends improvisation with composition on the spot, leading to new pieces born out of experimentation and collaboration. In search of textures and freedom, Emmanuelle explores different styles of music. She combines them, or not, with humor and sensitivity, always with the intention to be fully in the moment.

After her pre-professional training at the AMR in Geneva, Emmanuelle continued her studies at the Jazzcampus in Basel, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in jazz singing in 2022. She has had the opportunity to study with renowned musicians such as Larry Grenadier, Malcolm Braff, Matthieu Michel, Jorge Rossy, Nicolas Masson, Ohad Talmor, Ann Malcolm, Lisette Spinnler, Bänz Oester, and Jay Clayton.

Committed to community life, Emmanuelle is a member of the AMR committee, where she also teaches group workshops in jazz singing and improvisation, as well as the committee of Maison-Matrice, a socio-cultural association located in the Bernese Jura, which provides a shared space dedicated to artist residencies.

Emmanuelle Bonnet est une musicienne, chanteuse et compositrice originaire de Genève. Sa pratique musicale explore différents champs d’expérimentation allant du jazz et l’improvisation libre passant par le chant de madrigaux ou autres expressions de son corps.

Intéressée tant par les sons et la voix, les gestes ou même la parole, ses interventions prennent place le plus souvent au sein de formations collectives diverses. Elle s’est produite dans diverses salles de concerts et festivals en Europe, tels que les Bird’s Eye (Bâle), AMR Jazz Festival (Genève), Porta-Jazz Festival (Porto), Jazz in Bess (Lugano), Moods (Zürich).

Engagée dans la vie associative, Emmanuelle fait partie du comité de l’AMR, où elle est également professeure d’ateliers collectifs de pratique du chant jazz et d’improvisation, ainsi que du comité de la Maison-Matrice, une association socio-culturelle située dans le Jura bernois, qui mutualise un espace dédié aux résidences d’artistes.

Emmanuelle Bonnet ist eine Schweizer Musikerin, Sängerin und Komponistin aus Genf. In ihrer musikalischen Praxis erkundet sie verschiedene Experimentierfelder, die von Jazz und freier Improvisation bis hin zum Singen von Madrigalen und anderen Ausdrucksformen ihres Körpers reichen. Emmanuelle ist 2022 Absolventin des Jazzcampus der Hochschule für Musik Basel und hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Jazzgesang. Sie interessiert sich für Klänge und Stimme, Gesten und Sprache und tritt meist in verschiedenen kollektiven Formationen wie Duos, Quartetten, Trios oder begleiteten Monologen auf. In ihrem Schaffensdrang mischt Emmanuelle oft Improvisation mit Komposition vor Ort, was zu neuen Stücken führt, die aus Experimenten und Kollaborationen entstehen. Auf der Suche nach Texturen und Freiheit erkundet Emmanuelle verschiedene Musikstile. Diese kombiniert sie, oder auch nicht, mit Humor und Sensibilität, immer mit der Absicht, ganz im Moment zu sein.
